What Is Fast CAT?
Fast CAT is AKC’s timed 100-yard dash for dogs. Dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure straight down the course while electronic timers record their speed. Times are converted to miles per hour, points are earned based on speed and height, and dogs can work toward AKC Fast CAT titles like BCAT (150 points), DCAT (500 points), and FCAT (1000 points).
