OLEAN KENNEL CLUB ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Supporting the next generation of animal-care professionals

The Olean Kennel Club believes that caring for dogs also means investing in the people who will care for them in the years ahead. Each year, OKC awards one local student a $500 scholarship to support post-secondary education in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, or another pet-healthcare-related field. Animal-care professionals play an essential role in the lives of pets and the people who love them. Through the OKC Scholarship, we hope to make one small contribution toward helping a local student begin or continue that important work.

The scholarship is offered in memory of the dedicated Olean Kennel Club members we have lost to cancer. Through this program, we are proud to honor their contributions to the Club while helping a local student pursue a future devoted to the health and well-being of animals.

If you would like to support our scholarship, you can donate here.

The 2026 scholarship recipient was Peyton Mest, a graduate of Franklinville Central School District. She was accepted to SUNY Cobleskill's animal science program. Shown with Scholarship Committee members Dr. Jennie Dahar and Jeffery Allen.
